One of the most requested items on our Roadmap is always new integrations. Our users love the ability to pull data from different locations onto their Databox dashboards and create visually compelling reports further down the line.
So in order to make this more accessible, we are introducing 30+ Custom API Integrations to help our users pull data and create custom metrics on their own (or with the help of our experienced team).
Custom API Integrations replaces the need for tools like Zapier or Integromat—this means you no longer have to maintain these tools (less logins to track) or pay for them.
Connecting a Custom API integration to Databox is relatively simply. Just log in to the tool from within our interface using OAuth, or by entering your API key from the tool.
Once you do that, you will see a new interface where you can pull data from the other tool’s API and then build custom metrics from the data.
Below you’ll find a list of 30+ integrations that are currently available. By clicking on the ones you are interested in connecting, you will access a detailed Knowledge Base article that will guide you through all the necessary steps for connecting the new integration and creating custom metrics.
Keep in mind that new integrations are added regularly, and we’d love to hear what you’d like to see next. You can request a new Data Source integration here.
In case you are still uncertain how the process works—our team is also available to help you use these new integrations, including building metrics from the data that the API returns. Just start a chat to book time with one of our product expert salespeople or your account managers.
Our Custom API Integrations have predefined base URLs which means that they, by default, do not include API versions. The reason for this is that we wanted to enable you to use various API versions when preparing your Custom Metrics.
Now, it is important to keep in mind that there is a possibility that the credentials you use when connecting your Data Source do not allow you to access data from all API versions.
The reason for this can be found in the API provider’s access management for different API versions and will result in you not being able to access data for specific API versions.
There are two ways to deal with this. Either:
