The Reactions metric includes both likes and comments. However, the counts retrieved via the API may differ from those shown in the LinkedIn feed. This discrepancy occurs because the API excludes likes and comments from companies, including the company that created the post. Additionally, the API does not update counts when likes or comments are deleted.
Accurately replicating LinkedIn’s Reactions metric is not feasible due to the large number of API requests required. This would involve making separate calls for each comment, post, and share, resulting in an inefficient syncing process.
