  • Sharing LinkedIn Company Pages account access with Databox
    • Invite apps@databox.com to the Linkedin Ads account. Databox’s user can be found on this link: www.linkedin.com/in/databox-apps
    • Under ‘Admin tools’ in the top-right corner, select ‘Manage admins’ from the dropdown menu.
    • Click ‘Add admin’ and search for Databox’s account by name.
    • Choose Super Admin role for the user and save changes.
  • Missing data for LinkedIn Company Pages metrics

If LinkedIn Company Pages data that was previously available in Databox suddenly becomes unavailable, it may be due to a loss of necessary permissions for the user who originally connected the LinkedIn Company Pages account.
To resolve this, the user must either regain the required ‘Super Admin’ page role in Linkedin or have another user with the correct access reconnect the LinkedIn Company Pages account.

  • Maximum amount of historical data for LinkedIn Company Pages metrics

Due to technical limitations, the date range ‘All Time’ will return a maximum of 36 months of historical data. However, metrics that represent total values (i.e. ‘Followers’, ‘Total Likes’, etc.) will always show the current total value when ‘All Time’ date range is selected.

For the following metrics, a maximum of 12 months of historical data is available via the API:

    • Page Updates by Impressions
    • Page Updates by Clicks
    • Page Updates by Interactions
    • Page Updates by Comments
    • Page Updates by Likes
    • Page Updates by Shares

  • LinkedIn Company Pages metrics ‘X by Page Update’ show data based on when engagement occurred, not based on post creation date

LinkedIn Company Pages metrics ‘X by Page Update’, including impressions, reactions, and other engagement data, display updates based on when engagement occurred, not when the page update/post was originally created.
These metrics are recorded within the selected time frame, regardless of the update’s/post’s publication date.

If you’d like to view the data for these metrics based on the post’s creation date or the date of posting, you can filter the posts using the dimensions field of the selected metric. This is currently the only available workaround, as there is no ‘Page updates by creation date’ metric implemented for this data source.

So it is important to note that the data for metrics like Clicks by Page Update and Likes by Page Update is reflective of when the engagement happened, not when the page updates/posts were created or published.

  • LinkedIn Company Pages data source keeps disconnecting, displays error message ‘Access revoked’ immediately after attempting to reconnect

In case of the ‘Access revoked’ error, please follow these steps:

    • Check for multiple connections of the Linkedin account in Databox:
Ensure that the same LinkedIn Company Pages account is not connected to other Databox accounts (for example, in both Agency and Client account). Databox only allows one connection per LinkedIn Company Pages account.
    • Remove Databox Permissions in LinkedIn:
If the issue persists, remove the Databox app from your LinkedIn services page, then attempt to reconnect the LinkedIn Company Pages account in Databox. Go to LinkedIn’s Permitted Services Page to delete the Databox app.
  • LinkedIn Company Pages – certain metrics include only organic data

LinkedIn provides different API endpoints for retrieving Company Page metrics, and it’s important to understand the distinction between the ‘Share Statistics API’ and the ‘Statistics API’:

    Share Statistics API Endpoint

    • Provides organic engagement metrics for posts (Page Updates).
    • Includes Clicks, Comments, Engagements, Impressions, Likes, and Shares.
    • Does NOT include paid (sponsored/boosted) post data.
    • To retrieve engagement data for boosted posts, you must use the LinkedIn Ads API instead

    Statistics API Endpoint

    • Provides Follower metrics, including both paid and organic followers.
    • Tracks the overall growth and demographic insights of a LinkedIn Company Page’s audience.
    • Unlike the Share Statistics API, this endpoint does not focus on individual post performance.
  • LinkedIn Company Pages – possible discrepancies for campaigns targeting members residing in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland

For LinkedIn Company Pages, discrepancies may appear in campaign metrics when targeting members in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland. These discrepancies result from requirements imposed by the EU Digital Markets Act (DMA).
Due to LinkedIn’s compliance changes, users running campaigns targeting these regions may notice fewer conversions, smaller audience sizes, and shifts in ROI, impacting campaign and reporting metrics.
You can learn more about this here.

  • Hourly granularity NOT supported for LinkedIn Company Pages metrics in Databox

Due to API limitations, hourly granularity is not supported for Linkedin Company Pages metrics. This may affect visualization options for charts in Databox.
For example, if a LinkedIn Company Pages metric is used on a Line or Bar Chart with ‘Yesterday’ date range selected, hourly data won’t be displayed on the Chart. However, the big number above the Chart will accurately reflect the Metric value for the selected date range.

    Learn more about granularity here.

  • Certain metrics show only data for the most recent 100 posts/updates

Due to an API limitation, the following metrics only show data for the 100 most recent posts/updates:

    • Impressions by Page Update
    • Engagement Rate by Page Update
    • Clicks by Page Update
    • Reactions by Page Update
    • Engagements by Page Update
    • Comments by Page Update
    • Shares by Page Update
    • Likes by Page Update
    • Total Impressions by Page Update
    • Total Clicks by Page Update
    • Total Comments by Page Update
    • Total Engagement Rate by Page Update
    • Total Shares by Page Update
    • Total Reactions by Page Update
    • Total Engagements by Page Update
    • Total Likes by Page Update
  • Certain LinkedIn Company Pages metrics show data only for the 100 most recent posts/updates

Due to an API limitation, the following metrics only reflect data for the 100 most recent posts/updates

    • Total: Updates, Impressions, Clicks, Interactions, Comments, Likes, Shares
    • Page Updates by: Impressions, Clicks, Interactions, Comments, Likes, Shares
    • Updates, Engagements
