The Metric Digest is an automated, weekly email with updates on the metric of your choice. It includes a chart with a visual representation of your data, as well as a data story providing an analysis of the progress of your metric. In this lesson, we’ll show you how to set up your Metric Digest, and how to use it to improve performance.
Setting up a Metric Digest is easy. To get started, go to the Notifications tab in the left hand sidebar in your Databox account. Select the Metric Digest tab at the top of the screen, and then click on the green + New Metric Digest button in the upper right corner.
You’ll be taken to the Metric Digest setup screen. From here, you can set all of your custom specifications for your digest. Select the metric you want to track from the Select a metric dropdown. Select the time you want to receive your weekly digest under the Delivery time section. There are preset times to choose from, or you can set a specific time using the Custom button.
You can also select the date range you want to see data from in your digest. In the Data from option, select from these date ranges:
For example, if you select ‘Last week’ as your date range, your metric digest will show you data points from the previous week (Sunday through Saturday). There is a preview on the right-hand side of the Metric Digest setup screen where you can see the chart and data stories you’ll receive in your digest.
