What is "Net Likes"?
Net Likes is a Facebook metric that measures the number of page likes gained or lost in a selected time period. It takes into account both the number of people who have liked and unliked your page during that time period. A positive net likes value indicates an increase in page likes, while a negative value indicates a decrease. This metric helps page owners understand their audience engagement and popularity over time.
Example: A fashion brand can use Net Likes to measure the success of their latest Instagram campaign and track how many new followers they've gained from it.

  • How are the values for metric ‘Net Likes’ calculated?

Databox calculates the values for this metric because the Meta API does not provide values for the metric directly. The calculation used is the number of ‘Page Likes’ minus the number of ‘Page Unlikes’ during the specified Date Range.
These are ‘unique’ metrics, described in the Meta API Page Insights document as ‘page_fan_adds_unique’ minus ‘page_fan_removes_unique’.
