What is "Avg. Time on Page"?
The Avg. Time on Page metric in Google Analytics measures the average duration of time that users spend on a given page of a website. It is calculated by subtracting the time of the previous pageview from the time of the current pageview, with the exception of the first pageview. This metric can be used to gauge user engagement and the effectiveness of content on a page. However, it should be noted that a user leaving a page without navigating to another page on the website will result in a 0 second Avg. Time on Page value.
Example: A high avg. time on page metric for a blog post may indicate that readers are engaging with the content and possibly spending time to thoroughly read it.
