Ever since Google announced the shutting down of Universal Analytics, there has been a lot of pressure for businesses to switch to Google Analytics 4 as soon as possible.

The dates are set in stone: Universal Analytics properties will stop processing new hits on July 1, 2023, while the 360 Universal Analytics properties will stop processing new hits on October 1, 2023.

A lot of users tried to hold up hope that Google might change its mind on this, but that is not likely to happen, and this is precisely why we need to act sooner rather than later.

    Databox is Here to Help

With so many marketers and business owners using Universal Analytics to track data either for themselves or their clients, we realized that we can do something to help.

If you have already read through the Google documentation for switching, you might have gotten cold feet. You’re not alone in that, just take a glance at trending keywords and you will see an increase in GA4 transition-related keywords at the beginning of each month.  Just like a New Years’ resolution, everyone gets enthusiastic but once then they get into it the enthusiasm wanes. “There’s still time.” Or at least, we want to believe that.

This is why we want to help.

In the next few months, we will be publishing a series of articles documenting the transition process for a single website along with a deep dive into what is changing, from new metrics to new tracking rules.

We will also be addressing what this means for your account in Databox and how it will affect your data.
