Due to an API limitation, data discrepancies may occur with the Klaviyo custom metric ‘Placed Order (Shopify) by Value’ when filtered by flow or campaign channel.
Klaviyo processes campaign and flow data differently in the user interface (UI) compared to the API:
Example:
If Campaign A was created on March 1st, and:
Under these circumstances:
1) The UI would aggregate all interactions and display X + Y + Z on March 1st.
2) The API would return the data separately for each activity date (March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd).
This difference in data aggregation can lead to inconsistencies when comparing API-based reports with the Klaviyo UI.
Klaviyo provides a variety of metrics to track performance across email campaigns, flows, and more. The availability of certain metrics in the Klaviyo Metric Builder – such as revenue, engagement, and conversion data – depends on how the data is collected and integrated with other platforms (e.g., Shopify or WooCommerce). To ensure Databox can sync this data, these platforms must be properly connected to Klaviyo.
